Picture1.png

The framework created to find answers to a specified research problem, spelling out the research objectives and hypotheses. It identifies the appropriate study design and the methods for sampling, data collection and data analysis.

Research Design

Survey.jpg

The process of using scientific methods to collect information from relevant sources in order to find answers to the research problem, test hypotheses and evaluate the outcomes. This can be done using secondary or primary methods.

Data Collection

OIG4.jpg

The process of inspecting, evaluating and modelling data to discover useful information and aid decision making. Data analysis has multiple facets and approaches, primarily thematic or statistical, and encompasses diverse tools.

Data Analysis

The research output is presented precisely, in a manner that addresses the initial research problem and objectives. A research report presents and interprets the findings, draws conclusions and makes recommendations.

Statistical Data Analysis

We explore and analyse data from the three main approaches below:

Descriptive Analysis

What Happened?

This is the foundation of data analysis. It looks at historical data to understand past successes or failures. It doesn’t try to explain why something happened; it simply summarizes the raw data into a digestible format.

Diagnostic Analysis

Why Did It Happen?

Once we know what happened, the next logical step is to dig into the cause. Diagnostic analysis takes the findings from descriptive analysis and drills down to find the root drivers and anomalies.

Predictive Analysis

What is Likely to Happen?

Moves from looking at the past to forecasting the future. Predictive analysis uses historical data to identify trends, patterns, and statistical probabilities to forecast future outcomes.

Thematic Data Analysis

We follow both the inductive and deductive approaches to qualitative data analysis:

Themes Identification

Reading through the textual data to identify recurring ideas and creating word labels (codes) that encapsulate the emerging themes.

Data Coding

Assigning one or more of the pre-defined codes to the textual data segments based on the subjectively derived meaning.

Analytical Output

Running queries to identify thematic relationships and patterns in the coded data to draw conclusions and recommendations.
